Garlic bread

Girl dinner garlic bread

Garlic bread so garlicky and so good that you could eat a whole loaf for dinner.
Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 20 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf soft bread like ciabatta, tiger bread or a baguette
  • 1/3 block salted butter softened
  • several cloves garlic
  • zest 1 lemon
  • juice 1/2 lemon
  • small handful grated parmesan optional
  • small handful finely chopped parsley optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
  • If your butter isn't already soft, soften it in the microwave for around 10 seconds. Add in all the other ingredients and mix into a paste.
  • Slice the bread in good sized garlic bread slices, taking care not to slice all the way to the bottom so the bread is still in one piece and stands on it's own.
  • Spread most of the garlic butter paste in between the slices and coat the top of the loaf with the rest.
  • Pop in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until light golden brown and serve straight away.
